We've listened to hundreds of postal carriers and instructors to make sure our designs and services meet your needs.
Dependability:
A dual-control needs to be solidly constructed and dependable. Every part of our dual-brake and dual-gas is over-engineered for a secure, confident ride. Each aircraft-grade cable is load tested before installation. We used thicker steel, double-welds, redundant return springs, reinforced conduit, stringent testing requirements, and a baked on finish to make it last. We also include an easily removed and replaced security pin to lock the brake and gas pedal when not used for training and a small flashlight to inspect cables and make it easier to replace the pin at night.
Responsive Feel:
Our design minimizes the use of pulley's because every pulley in the cable path creates added resistance, less feel, and additional cable wear. We use high-quality, sealed bearings to make the pivot of the brake and gas as smooth as possible. From minor brake checks to full-blown emergency stops, you'll feel like you were in the drivers seat.
Design:
Easy installation, minimizing space requirements, and high-performance and feel are keys to a successful design. Due to smaller cars and their tighter spaces, the design needs to be universal and work around obstructions. We've heard from countless customers struggling to mount a large pulley and cable behind the car's brake pedal and wishing they had more room for their feet. Our patented solutions address these problems. Regardless of how tight the space is behind the brake pedal or passenger side, our unique system installs easily without sacrificing performance, space, and feel.
Quality:
From our 14-point quality control process and all steel construction to adding optional features you requested. Every step in our process ensures an exceptional experience. Our design has undergone stringent mechanical testing achieving over 500,000 pedal applications before failure. A postal carrier with 400 stops a day might apply the pedals 100,000 times a year and driving schools don't even come close to that number! We worked hard and aimed high to design a fantastic dual-brake that will last and perform when needed.
Fast, Easy Installation:
The easier the installation, the less time and cost to get your vehicle equipped and on the road. We provide full-color instructions, an installation video, and exceptional, live support when you need us. Don't take our word for it, read the product reviews from our customers. Our simple and effective design makes installation a snap. Installers constantly tell us it is the easiest, least intrusive dual-brake install they ever performed.
Passenger Side Space:
Space for the passengers feet can be a real challenge if there's a large brake system installed. This is especially true for taller instructors trying to fit into a smaller car. We've minimized the size of our design to maximize space for the passengers feet. It's also why we made our optional Foot Rest detachable so if you're rotating drivers in and out of cars, they can all have the room they need and the comfort they deserve.
Good Looks:
First impressions mean a lot. You want your students to be impressed from the moment they sit in the car. Our pedal systems have clean lines, a rich black finish and chrome highlights. Their high-quality and low-profile makes them look like they are part of the cars design.
Service and Support:
When a vehicle is out of service, schedules are impacted, and you need a replacement part fast. Access to sales and technical support is critical. We pride ourselves on same day shipping and exceptional support when you need it, even in the evenings or on weekends. Read through our 5-star reviews on our website and 100% positive review rating on ebay - your 100% satisfaction is our goal!
Lifetime Warranty:
A manufacturer should stand behind their product. We're confident in our workmanship and provide a lifetime warranty with your purchase. You'll find an extra set of free replacement cables in the box for recommended annual maintenance. Lastly, we guarantee the price of your maintenance kit will never change.
Foot Rest (optional on SAFEDRIVE Pro):
Instructors with iffy students typically hover their foot over the brake to be prepared. A properly positioned foot rest will provide comfort and retain the ability to react. Our foot rest is full-size and located where the gas pedal would be for a natural and responsive "muscle memory" movement to the brake. Our foot rest is also fully adjustable with 16 different settings for a custom fit. Do you wear a size 14 shoe? Not a problem. Quickly remove the foot rest with a single hand screw and free up the extra floor space.
Screwless T-Mount (optional):
The T-Mount provides an optional way to install your SAFEDRIVE Pro or SAFEDRIVE Pro Plus without having to bolt it to the floor. Auto manufacturers are installing thicker insulation into the passenger floorboard to dampen engine and road noise making it very difficult and time consuming to access the firewall under the carpet. Additionally, some hybrid/electric cars have battery packs installed in these areas as well. This can make it a challenge to install any dual-brake system on the market today. Now there's no need to bolt into the floor. The adjustable T-Mount attaches to existing bolts of the front passenger seat making it a snap to install your dual-brake.
I have been using the controls for over two years now and everything is working perfectly. Very convenient to use and move to a different vehicle. I recommend these products to all the mail carriers that are in my area and recommend them to anyone that needs a righthand drive vehicle. Great costumer service also. Thank you for making this great product for anyone to use.
gas/brake pedal for a rural route installed in Bronco Sport Badlands
Had to replace my vechicle for my rural route and its hard to find a vehcile that doesnt have a center console anymore. So when looking for a new vechicle i looked for a car dealer that could install them for me. Lets just say i got screwed over the install and got charged for 10 hours labor for at most a 3 hour job. And then i had to take it back to get redone because i almost went thru a customers garage door. I could write a book on the experince i had woth the dealership, safe to say they didnt get it fixed and i had to take somewhere else to get it finished correctly. But, im here to say, that i emailed the company and called the number on the business card that came with the parts. I told the person who answered what was going on and he said to take pictures of the setup and he could let me know what was wrong and he did quickly. So i informed the original installers, what was wrong and to fix it, they did sort of. It lasted for about a month when all of a sudden the brake stuck and wouldnt release because a spring had broken.. I called the safedrive cust service person again and he overnighted me the spring i needed plus a new brake cable at no charge. Talk about a company that backs their prodoct, wwell they do here at safedrive. I would implore anyone looking to have this done go with a company that backs their product like they do here. in a year i will have the brake/gas wires replaced and then get the kit for the 2nd year to keep the warranty going. and after getting the new spriing and brake line installed with a link to the install process for my regular mechanic shop it was fixed properly and i have been going strong with now issues what so ever. And i love the fact that when im done with my route all i have to do is get in on the driver side and drive home without having to detach any of the controls.
Really happy with my purchase. My package came in the mail really quick. The instructions were clear and were easy to install. Like that we got extra cables with my pedal set.
